Footyboots4women.com have become the proud boot sponsor of the Welsh Hockey Union's number one under 16s goalkeeper, Roseanne Thomas

Footyboots4kids.com was initally formed to help grassroots football and is always looking for young players in Football, Rubgy and Hockey to support their quest to become leaders in their chosen sport. Roseanne, with the help of Footyboots4women, one of Footyboots4kids' sister sites, was chosen as the ideal candidate.

Wales versus Scotland
In the first match of the four nations for Wales saw 15 of the girls play their first ever international match. It was always going to be fairly tough as this was the girls' first competitive match together as a team. Scotland perhaps showed their greater experience exerting much pressure early on and, despite Wales defending strongly with keeper Roseanne Thomas making vital saves, Wales found themselves 1 down after 15 mins. Wales showed great character battling back and creating opportunities, the best falling to Xena Hughes after a great run into the circle. However, Wales failed to capitalise on their chances and went into half time still one goal down. The second half again saw great skill and determination from both teams however Scotland again came out on top after a goal 10 mins into the re-start. Wales were not down hearted and produced a strong performance throughout the team and were unfortunate not to earn a result from the first game.
